CRITIQUE PAPER

“Malaysia police kill suspected Abu Sayyaf fighters during raid”

On Tuesday, Hazani Ghazali, police commissioner of Malaysia’s Sabah state, announced the deaths in a statement. Police in Malaysia have shot dead five suspected members of the Philippine armed group, Abu Sayyaf, during a firefight on the Malaysian portion of Borneo island. Ghazali said the attack occurred on Monday when men armed with guns and machetes attacked Malaysian police during a raid in the town of Beaufort in the state of Sabah on Borneo.

Mabar Binda – an Abu Sayyaf sub-commander who is on the Philippine government’s most-wanted list along with the five Filipinos were killed. Ghazali said, “With the death of these five, we believe that we have crippled yet another cell of Abu Sayyaf hiding out in Sabah.” In March, the Philippine military said its troops killed an Abu Sayyaf leader and rescued four Indonesian hostages who had been kidnapped from Sabah. The hostages had been held for more than a year.

In conclusion, the Malaysia wants to convey that in their country they killed the the five Filipinos along with the identified a man as an Abu Sayyaf sub-commander. The news has a positive outcome that the identified Abu Sayyaf sub-commander is now dead and he can’t cause any harm to others. However, it is embarrassing that a Filipino were killed in other country because they are connected to Abu Sayyaf that plans to harm the other country.

REFLECTIVE ESSAY

"My journey as a student"

As this year passes by I realized that this whole year change me to become ready for college life. I thought this year would be so hard because we are not going to school to have a face to face classes but I realized that as long I think positively towards in the future I can finish my studies this school year. This year teaches me to become more responsible student and do all my activities as soon as possible because every beginning of the week all my teachers are giving another set of activities for the whole week.

To achieve the word teamwork it is needed to have cooperation coming from the leader and members. Cooperation is the key to become a successful group. Through this whole year it’s been first time for me to encounter an online class and modular learnings for the whole two semester. I experienced to become very nervous because my teacher was asking me questions and my internet connection suddenly slowed down. I don’t know what to do and my connection is still not good so after class I chatted my teacher and asked for patience for not answering her question because my internet connection suddenly weakened.

This whole year has been a lot of experience and realization that fit me to be better prepared for college life. I have a lot of realization this year that make me change a lot. Even though I don’t enjoy my senior high school life in the normal way inside the school, this pandemic got me realized a lot and given me a different type of learning experience. And as I move out from this two year school experience and move in to another school for college I really really miss my senior high school, my friends, classmates and also my teachers because as we enter the college life we have different paths to face to achieve are goals in life and become successful in the future.

” Take me then”

The month of April could be the funniest and entertaining month in a year. There are a lot of plans on how they tricks other people with fun and enjoyment. April can be a lot of enjoyments to other people but for others it can be a worst month that can ruin their life forever.

At the middle of the month when I got home there are furnitures and appliances scattered around the floor. In the corner of the house there has a broken chair. I immediately find my mother and siblings but I can’t find them around the house so I went to my grandma’s house and I found my sister crying at the corner of the house. “There’s something happened to my sister, I’m sure that he is the reason behind it.” My grandma tells the whole story behind my sister tears.
” Your step father wants to throw a hand size rock to your sister.” Grandma said.
” But why” I said
My grandma told me the whole story. My eldest sister decided that they need to move out from our house and lived at my grandma’s house. My mother’s eldest sister decided to have a emergency travel to went home and talk to my mother about the incident. My auntie went to my mother’s house to talk to her and to ask what she wants to do to her daughters.

Me and my two siblings are present to the scene full of intense atmosphere. The surroundings are full of tears. Me and my two siblings are located behind my auntie and my mother are standing in front of her. The moment while talking my mother and auntie are full of toxic presence and a lot of tears. My mother keeps to defend her living partner. When my auntie heard that my mother keeps to defend her living partner her presence became higher and wild like an angry lion. By hearing that, I can’t stop my self thinking that “we must be the ones to defend by you”, “we deserve to defend by our mother”, “we deserve to loved more than her living partner”. The intense moment got my auntie to ask my mother “who would you choose your children or your living partner”. The moment was so intense to the point that I don’t want to hear any answers from my mother because deep in side of her heart I know who will she most prefer. The moment was so intense to the point that I cannot hear anything besides of the voice echoing to my ears saying that ” mom you must choose us, we your daughters” “we need you.”

My mother finally spoke who the one she most prepare and she says that “I will choose my living partner because we have two little children that is more needed a complete family” When I heard what she says I felt that my heart aches and crushing into small pieces. From that moment I want to commit a suicide to end all my problems, and heart aches that deep inside killing not just my body but also my soul.

My auntie talk to us and said “you are the ones who will strive to live because your mother has been blinded to the fact that she should have chosen you.” I thought thats the end of my life but I realized that it should not be, I have two sisters that can help me to live more better despite of loosing our mom. Usually, misunderstanding starts from simple domestic quarrel that grows impertinently damaging the long-forged relationship between the family members. In most broken homes, the children are generally disadvantaged because they are generally regarded as being deprived academically, economically, socially and culturally.

They have 30 different islands to choose from. The first place that tourists visit is Onuk island that you will enjoy the soft and powdery white sand between your toes, or just enjoy the silence while riding a kayak. Breakfast at my House

During the week we’re often walking out the door with a coffee in one hand and slice of toast in the other, but on weekends breakfast is never rushed. It’s a late affair, sometimes spilling over to lunch, with lots of reading and chatter in between courses of fruits, poached eggs, honey and toast. One of our favorite things we like to serve when friends are visiting are buckwheat blueberry pancakes.
